Ok, I turned in my application in June, I did the fingerprinting 5Aug09. All of my references are in. None of my references have been contacted. I submitted my application in June originally. So, not sure if this is the approach of the third month to start 5Oct09 or do we count from when the application was first submitted? I saw another thread where it took 3 months to the day from the application submission. I am getting antsy. Anybody wanna start making guesses on the date of that postcard showing up?

For Suffolk 4-6 months from the date of the interview. My friend was lucky enough to get his within two weeks of the interview, it took me exactly 6 months..both clean records.

LOLOLOLOL!!! Feels like it. Well, if that's the case, then by the time I save up with all the new taxes, Obama will be out of office and all the prices will go back down and I will be able to buy an arsenal and plenty of bullets.

Not that I recall. She was there that day when I had my fingerprinting and (what I thought) was my interview. Is there supposed to be a meeting with her? I have not heard of this before.

When you go and get fingerprinted and get your picture taken, that is considered part of the interview, unless they changed since I went a year ago. from the day of the interview, I got my license a little more than 4 months later. But they are much busier now.

I did the fingerprinting, picture and interview on 5Aug09. So, I just have to wait now. What do we guess to be the return time? I would prefer before the end of the year. That way, I would be able to give myself some great Christmas gifts.

I don't want to discourage you but you are in for a wait. On average it take 6 months from what I have heard.
I'm at the just over 5 month mark and I am waiting. I'm hoping that its not 6 months from the point the notarized references are all received. Good luck and keep us posted.

I had my interview this week.....2 of my 4 references are in the mail as of yesterday. One will be in the mail today and hopefully the last by Monday.

When I called my friend to ask him if he sent it in yet, he was like "whats the rush?"

Ok, I am now at the 2 months mark. Who would have thought this would be such an agonizing wait?

I met the Murtha group at the gun show this weekend. He suggested it is usually 6 months from the date of application, not from fingerprinting. I hope he is right. That would be a nice Christmas present for me!!!!!

That makes me feel like something is wrong with my application. I'll wait til the 6 month mark (From interview) then call my invesitgating officer.

Taken from their website

We will send you notice as soon as your license is ready.

Just called and was told that it is 6 months from the date of the interview. I am betting it'll come down to the wire for me. 16 days to go.
